Visiting

West shore of Windermere

Hide is on the Graythwaite Estate on the quieter western shore of Windermere, between Newby Bridge and Hawkshead and across the lake from Bowness. The exact location and detailed directions will be provided upon booking.

Parking is free and immediately beside Hide, so there is no walk from the car.

Please arrive for your booked start time rather than early, and please be ready to leave promptly when your booking finishes. Your hour includes time to change at the beginning and end.

There is a small private changing space at Hide. Arriving with swimwear on under your clothes is recommended if possible.

Bring swimwear, footwear for the shore and two towels — one to sit on in the sauna and one to dry off with. Drinking water is provided.

We recommend arriving ready to sauna where possible.

Sound carries a long way over water. Hide is deliberately quiet, and we ask everyone who visits to help us keep it that way for other guests, our neighbours and the wildlife around the shore.
